Fade (In the Company of Shadows, #3)

Fade (In the Company of Shadows, #3) - Santino Hassell, Ais Allow me a literal translation of a French expression : “I am exploded!” Which leads to my excuse for this incoherent review. I didn’t regroup, yet.FadeI raged and sniffled, I smiled and laughed, I melted and lusted, I held my breath, lost my breath and hyperventilated, I mended my broken heart and hoped. In short, I had a blast! 5 stars. To the authors : I owe you grey hairs and a heartfelt thank you for a series that kept more than it promised and steadily improved, that didn’t go out of breath and offered a grandiose finale. To the GR gang : Thanks for the support, the reassuring posts that scared the hell out of me, the jokes, the comments. To you who didn’t read ICoS yet : Make sure to read close to internet access because you will want to share your feels. This is spilling-your-guts-all-over-GR-buddy-read material!I started rather discreetly, wondering what my friends had smoked to love this series that much but before I knew it, I was posting wild guesses and PMs, building theories to anticipate the next development. I ended up reading with one hand holding my Kindle and the other one on the keyboard, updating and commenting compulsively. Other reviewers wrote it : it is not perfect. The very beginning was like a TA/Silence of the lamb crossover, I jokingly titled some parts “high school from hell” and I had my share of issues. But I also thought that it was generous, because it offered a lot of characters, plot lines and possibilities and I love what the authors made of these characters, plot lines and possibilities. There was angst, love, action, smut, rage, despair, conspiracy and I felt everything to the point that it was unbearable not to share.
