Elyan Smith is a very talented writer : I loved how he could subtly give images and sounds of this town and its atmosphere of general resignation. I loved Iwan.In Iwan's aimless wanderings with his friend Lyn, I recognized many young people, self made prisoners of the place they live in, their certainty that all options are closed and that there is no need to plot any future. I wanted to grab him, shake him and shout :"DREAM!!"Really, how sad is it that you're young and you don't have foolish dreams!!And yet, even if he didn't dream to conquer the world, Iwan had longings and when he was tired of his lonely intercourses with internet, I was so relieved that he decided to do something for himself! And then, guess what? Options opened! And I closed the book, hoping that he will fully embrace himself and why not, plot a future!
